TIGERS

Tigers are undoubtedly the most elegant of all the big cats. With their unmatched allure and regal presence, they leave one in awe with every encounter. These solitary cats embody a breathtaking blend of stealth, strength, and grace, rightfully earning their place as the true monarchs of the wild.

For nearly two decades, I’ve had the privilege of observing and photographing these magnificent creatures—a journey that has taken me to nearly 20 tiger reserves across India. My first tiger sighting in the wild came in 2009, at Kanha Tiger Reserve, after nearly four years of patient effort. Since then, I have had the pleasure of seeing and photographing close to 300 individual tigers.

Yet, even after all this time and countless sightings, tigers never cease to amaze me with their beauty, power, and mystique. Among the many reserves, Sundarbans stands out as the most challenging for me—it took ten years and as many trips before I finally caught a glimpse of its elusive tiger.

If I had to choose a favorite, it would undoubtedly be Corbett. Its breathtaking landscapes and unparalleled tiger encounters has made it my most cherished reserve..
